Local eCommerce app for Computer Equipment enters the second phase

We are finally seeing some visible progress on the best to be eCommerce Web Application available for the local Serbian market. Our customer aims to have the best offer of computer hardware in Serbia with a goal to reach more than 10,000 articles! The app is currently available at our test server at www.prodajaracunara.rs, while we will migrate most probably to RackSpace in order to have access to the cloud.

This application is architectured as an eCommerce management system where sales of computer hardware is just a market this customer chose to go with. If the customer decides to quit the hardware business and goes into the fashion industry, all they will need to do is to get new design and start getting articles into the database.

Technologies underlying the application are Ruby On Rails, Scriptaculous JavaScript Library, MySQL, and Ajax. We will revisit this topic when we officially launch. Design, code, and content is currently a subject of copyright by SAM IT.
